Everything we do is centered in knowing and pursing God and His Word. God is a Good God. The degree to which you can make God known is limited only by the degree to which you know Him! The Bible is God’s inspired word, the authoritative and trustworthy rule of faith and practice for all Christians. We believe anointed teaching is the catalyst for transformation in individuals’ lives and in the church
Complete provision of the Cross
Every person deserves to know the complete provision in the finished work of the cross. We don't force Jesus on others, but when people respond to the message we embrace them and obey Jesus' command (Mat 28:19-20) by mentoring them in their new faith. We pass along the “whole will of God” (Acts 20:25-27) to new believers - teaching them to teach others to teach (2 Tim 2:2) in order to reach an ever-expanding audience (Mark 16:14-16). We want to be culturally relevant yet doctrinally pure and pursue hearing the voice of God in reaching people.
Prayer & Fasting
Engaging in prayer as a constant practice and discipline and even when we meet together the voice of prayer is heard as we pray out loud together in our services. The principle of prayer is believed to be the motor or powerhouse to our church life. Prayer builds our intimacy with the Father and enables us to partner with Him by doing His will (Matt 6:9-10). We pray in faith (Mark 11:22-24). We pray in the Spirit (Eph 6:18-19; Jude 1:20). We also couple our prayers with regular times of fasting, individually and as a church.
We live to Honor God and Honor His commandments in Honoring people. We believe every person is significant therefore we endeavor to give acceptance and belonging in the fear of the Lord. We unashamedly seek to live in a healthy, reverential fear of the Lord
Person & Power of the Holy Spirit
Both in our personal and corporate life as believers, we welcome & honor the person and work of the Holy Spirit. We desire to be Led by the Spirit, operating in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and ministering in the gifts of the Holy Spirit
Discipleship & Mentoring
Jesus wants Disciples. He deliberately concentrated His life with a few people instead of crowds. Discipleship is not an event, but a lifelong journey of discipline and continuing in the Word of God with mentoring relationships. What we become by the transformation of the Word in attitude, behavior, conduct, and conversation, we pass it on to others. [2 Tim 2:2] We encourage, endorse, and empower men and women with God-given leadership gifts to mentor and minister to the church
Managing our resources, finances, time and abilities for God’s glory. We seek to model generosity in blessing others in what the Lord has entrusted us with.
We serve God, one another, those who don't yet know Jesus, and our communities. We were created for God’s pleasure and to serve Him (Deut 6:13; Romans 1:9; Colossians 1:16). We believe in plurality of Servant Leadership
We seek to become a people marked by hunger and thirst for God. Through worship in Spirit and Truth we enjoy the Father’s Love. We believe there is a presence of God available to God’s people as they follow the pattern of worship as seen in Psalms. It is normal for us to respond to God’s presence in energetic worship with clapping, lifting hands and singing spontaneous unrehearsed songs unto the Lord.
With God all things are possible
Becoming a church where dreams come alive. God and His church are dream makers and dream releasers. We make every effort to magnify the goodness of God and His power. Every chance we want to proclaim, “With God all things are possible”. Creating a faith filled atmosphere where everyone can receive from God and demonstrate His power. We will be a people who are sickness free, debt free, and madly in Love with Jesus. A place where as it is in heaven, it is on earth.
Marriage & Family
To love one another is our goal and we endeavor to make this practical through our commitment to fellowship with one another. Outside of Sunday gathering we seek to meet weekly in smaller groups called life groups, where every believer is encouraged to develop deeper relationships practicing integrity, loyalty, sharing our lives with each other and meeting on another’s need. We further express this commitment to relationships in building Strong families. Strong families comprise strong churches. Abraham’s ability to bless the nations was dependent on his ability to bless his family. Our light will never shine brighter than it does at home!
Reaching our City
We believe that Christ calls us to reach into society with the love, compassion and justice of God's Kingdom... so we are committed to benevolence and community service. We also pray for wisdom and direction for our government leaders, protection and servant ship in law enforcement, growth of educational institutions, Prosperity of businesses, and economic development of the city.
“Make the House and everything in it from the designs which I will give you”
Exodus 25:9 BBE
“Core values” are similar to the divider lines on the road…they help keep us on track and remind us when we get out of bounds. “Core values” can be analogized to a river bank…they don’t impede the flow of ministry, but they do guide it in a certain direction. They influence our decisions & everyday ministry plans. They navigate staffing and budget issues. In short they keep us focused on the unique call God has give us as an International church in Columbia, South Carolina, USA
