Small Group

In today’s date everyone seems to have a different idea about how church life should be. The best place to get a proper idea is to look at the Word of God in relationship to the early church.

When we look at the book of Acts we see that the church met together for corporate celebration and also met in homes of people. Acts 2:42 tells us that the church devoted themselves not just to the principles and practices of Christian living, but to fellowship. Literally, they partnered together in life, encouraging and supporting each other, enjoying life together, meeting each other's needs, and figuring out life's challenges together.

It's this picture of church that we desire to pursue. We want a church that is truly international in it’s audience, family in it’s atmosphere, and passionate in it’s walk. So we truly believe to meet together on Sunday morning for corporate fellowship and through the week we have small group that meet in the homes of people and also some meeting in their business places during lunch times.

Small Group Q&A
We understand that you might have some questions about small groups. You've got questions, hopefully we have some answers.

Q: How do I find the right Small Group?
A: We have a directory that lists the locations, timing, and a brief description to help you.
Q: Can I attend more than one small group?
A: Absolutely! The goal of our small groups is to help you find relationships were you find support and encouragement. However we ask that you become faithful to one and allow God to plug you as you serve in the gifts, calling, and anointings God has put in your life.
Q: How long do small groups last?
A: Once you find a group of people you love to be with, you hope it will never end. That's what happens with many of our small groups. Usually each group lasts for 1 ½ hours. We have a time of praise and worship, sharing of testimonies, praying for one another, teaching of the Word, and a time of fellowship.
Q: How will I receive pastoral care?
A: Small groups provide the bulk of pastoral care here at IFC. Every small group had leadership that is provided to the people who care, support and counsel.
Q: I wanted to start a small group, how would I do that?
A: Great question. In order to start a small group we encourage every member of the church to go through leadership training as we walk you thru the process.
